Jef Daily Blog

It's the 11th day after classes have been suspended. Many things happened, yet I worked just a little. It happened that I'm doing almost exactly the same thing I'm doing yesterday. I have to make it productive so I have to make a daily blog and make a difference.
I'll be doing this with the whole quarantine period.

Let's start today (March 24 ,2020)

DAY 1
A foggy view from the back of our house
I wake up early, like 5:00 A.M., the plan was to roam around just near the house to look for spiders (pure na "kaka", pure spider?). I found one but it was just a spiderling and some kind of Arachnids we called "robot", "markang X", "fighting cat", "ikogan" and "tapay-tapay" in small number. My biologist mind prevail while being in front of the laptop most of the time. One thing I noticed is that the density of mosquitoes and other tiny insects increases every around 6-7 PM. I'm thinking that spiders are in small number and might be the reason of the mosquitoes' abundance. There might have been an imbalanced predator-prey ratio. That was just one thing I observed, aside from the complete disappearance of the fruit bats flying around the Ficus sp. trees in our backyard every dusk. Today, these bats are blamed for the widespread of diseases (like this pandemic we are facing now). In the first place, they were rapidly murdered by poachers. Also, always put in mind that humans threatened them and reduced their population first.Do you think this is one way of the payback time they are calling?

Mother Earth is healing, from my tweet, I saw a firefly again after many years.Hopefully, all will be alright and the world would be back to normal, the same way as before. I can't wait to tell you all that I've seen bats again and that they are back. Hopefully wildlife would recover, then humanities there after.
